Super Saiyan god vs Super Saiyan blue; which of these is more useful?

I see a lot of dispute in apropos to this matter. Which one is stronger; super saiyan god (red hair) or super saiyan blue? Don't worry guys, I got this.

To begin, does Strength only take in the factor of power level? Toriyama gave a not so satisfactory response to the matter, rather it seems he contradicted himself. He said in an interview that ssj god, the red form, was stronger than ssj blue, because to him Red as a color feels stronger to him than Blue. 

Let’s get into the real reason why Red could be stronger than Blue. As far as power level is concerned, ssj god might just be stronger than ssj blue. Before you get yourself ready to use 'Hakai' on me, I have proof. Remember the time when Goku fought Beerus? Beerus had to use over 70% of his power level as he said himself.

So, if Blue was actually stronger than Red, shouldn’t Vegeta and Goku together be enough to beat Beerus?



The Downside of the Red form, of course, is its instability; Goku can’t maintain it for a long amount of time. While Blue is very stable, but does consumes a large amount of energy. As far as official statements go, Goku said it himself that, "Super Saiyan Blue is the power of the God form mixed with the Super Saiyan form", which in simple terms mean, Red is a part of Blue, as it is combined with Super Saiyan, hence sometimes called Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan. Well, that just solved a mystery for some.

I know the manga and the anime is not really related but the story line does match to a large extent. So why not give it a glance so we could get clues that we might be on able to get from Manga.

In the manga, Vegeta too, has been given the Super Saiyan God form. Unlike in the anime, Super Saiyan Blue is said to have a really big drawback in the manga, that is, It requires a lot of energy when one has to switch into the Blue form.

Again, it is confirmed in both, Anime and Manga, that the Blue form is way stronger than any form attained by any Saiyan yet. But that is what gives the Super Saiyan Red or god form its advantage. It consumes less stamina. Vegeta masters the trick to switching between god (red) and Blue form in the Hyperbolic time chamber and uses this ability to fight Goku Black. Believe it or not, he is confirmed to have a better stamina than Goku, in the manga.

Power usage

The power of this Red form is great enough to allow Goku to fight against the God of Destruction Beerus, who had effortlessly defeated Super Saiyan 3 Goku, Majin Buu, Super Saiyan 3 Gotenks, and a Super Charged Vegeta in his Super Saiyan 2 form; it has been said that Beerus could use inconsiderable amount of his power to defeat a fusion of Goku and Vegeta.

The sheer power of Goku and Beerus’ fists colliding sent ripples throughout the universe, with Old Kai commenting that just three punches could wipe out everything in the universe, leaving a void of nothingness.

This form also allows the user to sense and possess godly ki which can only be sensed by deities while simultaneously preventing non-deities from sensing the user. This form also has the ability to absorb and nullify enemy attacks upon contact, which Goku accomplished in a last-ditch effort to stop Beerus’ 'Sphere of Destruction'.

In the anime too, it has been told more than just once that Super Saiyan is harsh on the body, though there is no such heavy loss of energy to switch between forms but the Red form would logically be a better choice for the long fight, given it is definitely stronger than any of the yellow transformation and as it is less powerful than the Blue form, wouldn’t it be a better pick for fighting fatal fighters? Well, it isn't always that power level is key to the tournament, lasting longer is a necessity in the Tournament of Power.

It is still debatable to decide which one's stronger, Blue or Red, but think about this, why did the red form ever come back if it wasn't significant enough? Goku would be using it against Dyspo, who indeed has the specialty of super speed, the level of speed which could be a plausible challenge to Hit’s 'time skip'. Could this mean Red is faster than Blue too? That makes complete sense given, the Ultra form gives you strength but at the cost of speed, could Blue form be the Ultra form for the Red?

Last thing, we have to consider the fact that Goku has become considerably stronger since he achieved the god form, also he has become used to it as he always uses his god ki to fight any opponent, from Krillin to merged Zamasu.
